Synopsis

He straightened his tie, a nervous habit he’d cultivated over years of awkward encounters. His palms were slick, and he hoped the subtle scent of sandalwood cologne wasn't overpowering. This meeting was crucial; an attempt to bridge the gap between himself and his date’s father, a man whose disapproval felt like a looming shadow over everything.
