This feels like a really strong piece of fan fiction expanding on the world of Fallout and imagining what existence within a vault might be like. It leans into serious drama and a sense of authenticity rather than relying on humor or satire, which demonstrates how adaptable the Fallout setting truly is. It's clear why the creator of the Wool series—which Silo adapts—has had to publicly state there’s no connection to Fallout due to copyright issues. (Even though he playfully acknowledged having enjoyed the initial two games.) Those familiar with the video games will notice that the similarities are much more frequent than the differences.
