Synopsis

The decree, issued by Al-Dahbi himself, named Shams al-Din as commander of the royal guards. Al-Dahbi harbored a suspicion regarding Jalila, believing her to be with child outside of marriage. Driven by this concern, Shams al-Din orchestrated her escape, shielding her from a fate that would have been dire. Meanwhile, Jalal al-Din began the assembly of an army, preparing for an assault on the kingdom.
