This show seems geared toward an American sensibility, and doesn’t really work otherwise. Predictably, there’s a gay couple included, along with the familiar narrative of men holding women back, among other things. It lacks any real enjoyment or genuine interest. It feels like just another example of the same tired messaging that pervades so much American film and television these days—a message that's grown stale. I wasn’t able to continue watching it because it seemed to confirm my worries about it being a poorly made production unworthy of my time. It’s disappointing to see Harrison Ford involved in something like this, especially given his past work. This trend began with the later Indiana Jones films and continues here. Like many Hollywood projects recently, it deserves to fail completely. It isn't the absolute worst thing I've seen lately, but that's not a strong endorsement considering the declining quality of output from the American film industry. It seems like American viewers are getting what they ask for, though it’s no longer something others want to watch. Something has changed over the last decade or so, and the results aren’t positive.
