Synopsis

Holmes examined the murder with a keen eye; it possessed all the unsettling characteristics of a particularly gruesome Ruritanian vampire tale. He was, to put it mildly, dubious about the notion that the undead were stirring so close to Baker Street. The report – a local resident claiming his South American wife had been draining the lifeblood of their child – presented a perplexing puzzle indeed.
