_She-Hulk: Attorney at Law_ occasionally delivers some of the stronger entries in the MCU’s Disney+ offerings, while other times it feels remarkably dull. The word that best describes this season is inconsistent. I didn't get a sense of where the story was going, and that felt like a significant drawback. With a hurried beginning that dominates nearly every episode except one, along with some awkward lines here and there, the show struggled to find its place. Though intended as a comedy, I chuckled at only a few of the jokes; most just elicited a small smile from me. Even so, Tatiana Maslany’s performance really elevates the series. She's ideal in the role of She-Hulk, and her comedic timing is among the best within the MCU so far. I appreciated how she addressed the audience directly, but I would have liked to see that device utilized more frequently; it seemed like the writers would bring it up once an episode as a reminder of its existence, then abandon it completely for the remainder of the time. The guest appearances were welcome and the series included some clever satire of reality. It was wonderful to witness the MCU playfully mocking both itself and its audience at times. Ultimately, _She-Hulk_ possessed considerable promise but didn’t quite manage to build any real drive toward a finale that I found enjoyable and memorable—it stands out as one of my favorite episodes.
