Synopsis

He proposed to Veronica, a gesture that, though born of a complicated past, was nonetheless real. He admitted soon after that he was still legally bound to Roxy. Yet, driven by a shared ambition – a desire to secure a modest inheritance from Veronica’s father – they resolved to proceed with a sham ceremony.
