The animation quality is genuinely impressive. However, it’s hard to overlook some serious issues. The initial sequence was poorly handled; it seems like they didn't even attempt to replicate the original’s grand introduction with proper voice acting. The story moves at such a breakneck speed that it prevents any real connection with the characters or comprehension of why they do what they do. It feels rushed, and as a result, you don't get invested in their journeys. Furthermore, introducing entirely new characters who feel completely out of place and serve no purpose within the established Shaman King universe is a significant misstep. The whole thing ends up being quite disappointing.
