To be truthful, I think this reimagining is disrespectful to newer viewers who grew up with the first version. And I really do understand – I watched that original series when I was a kid myself. However, this new take felt hurried; it seemed like they’d squeezed two episodes' worth of content into each one, and it was just exhausting to watch. The earlier installments were more thorough, at the very least. I genuinely believed this would be a continuation of the original story, but it wasn't. As someone who loved the first series, I have to say I was somewhat let down.
