This miniseries adaptation of Jane Austen’s work was something I genuinely liked. The performances were excellent, and the script felt carefully constructed and well-done. Adaptations by Andrew Davies are typically quite good. Noticing some differences between this series and the Emma Thompson film made me wonder about which moments remained faithful to the original book. However, that's just a passing thought; it doesn’t change how much I enjoyed either version. I don’t usually expect productions to follow books word for word, provided any alterations maintain the story’s overall purpose. It’s a well-cast production and captures the essence of the novel.
