The miniseries from Australia proved to be quite good and very engaging. Because there are only four episodes, the narratives didn't feel drawn out or diluted. The writing felt authentic, and for the most part, the characters behaved consistently, although some did demonstrate a degree of development. I thought the five individuals who were victims in the initial shooting perhaps received insufficient attention regarding their individual stories, even when using flashbacks. The plot unfolded over the four episodes with several unexpected turns, but it remained plausible throughout. If you’re particularly sensitive to depictions of violence on screen, there's a specific scene that is shown repeatedly for emphasis; however, I wouldn't describe it as excessively graphic. While I don’t anticipate rewatching Scrublands anytime soon, the experience was worthwhile.
