Synopsis

Dr. Kay Scarpetta and Agent Nick Marino made their way to Matt Petersen’s sprawling compound, while Detective Lucy Hamilton partnered with Officer Blaise Fruge in the search for the victim’s boyfriend. The old case unexpectedly shifted course when Scarpetta received a summons to the Health Commissioner's office—a matter concerning sensitive information appearing in the press.
