I’m starting with this as my initial experience with Korean television, and it wasn't a good introduction. Even though there are problems with the show, I have to say that after seeing numerous other dramas, *Moon Lovers* is still the one I like best. It really managed to make me feel things, thanks to its beautiful scenery, clothing, and performances; even now, hearing any song from the soundtrack brings a touch of sadness. But seriously, this drama shouldn't be someone’s first Korean series! Here's why: It features complicated cultural elements that can be confusing. The colors become muted later on, which gets tiresome. There are way too many character deaths—a chain reaction—and a lot of episodes overall. And after ten years, there still isn’t a second season :'(
