Synopsis

Nobuyuki, messenger of the Tokugawa clan, journeyed to Aizu to deliver the verdict of the Uesugi clan’s punishment following the battle of Sekigahara. He sought out Naoe Kanetsugu, but found him resistant to the harsh demands. Yet, Nobuyuki remained unyielding. Meanwhile, Yukimura, spared the death penalty, drifted through a hollow existence, unable to grasp the purpose life held – a question Nobuyuki had urged him to contemplate. But one night, a disturbance stirred in his surroundings.
