Usagi pleaded with her parents to allow her to adopt Luna, but her brother Shingo harbored a deep dislike for the black cat, tinged with a subtle aversion to felines. Soon after, a peculiar pet shop opened in town, offering unusual creatures that induced a hypnotic trance in those who acquired them, affecting Shingo and the entire community.
