Russian Doll — Season 1
Every year, Nadia celebrates her 36th birthday—and every year, she dies. Plunged into a disorienting and increasingly unsettling time loop, she’s forced to relive that same fateful party again and again. As the cycle continues, Nadia finds herself confronting not only the mystery of why this is happening, but also the chilling reality of her own impending death.

The night she turned thirty-six, Nadia’s life was tragically cut short. Then, as abruptly as it began, she was standing again amidst the revelry of her own birthday celebration, the one her friends had so lovingly arranged.

A dull ache throbbed behind Nadia’s eyes, a consequence of the night's events. Disoriented and struggling to recall the details, she sought out Wardog, the dealer known for his Israeli marijuana.

Nadia’s pursuit of answers draws her to a Yeshiva, though she recognizes she requires John’s assistance. While searching for Oatmeal, she strikes up a conversation with a homeless man and finds an unexpected connection.

Alan, ever precise, composed himself for the meeting with his girlfriend. Elsewhere, Nadia’s recent finding left her profoundly shaken.

The disruption to his usual rhythm drew Alan to Nadia’s birthday celebration. Nadia attempted to smooth things over with John, while Alan, in turn, turned his attention to Mike.

Nadia and Alan grapple with the mystery of their shared existence. Alan possesses a peculiar blankness regarding his earliest demise, prompting Nadia to discreetly observe him throughout the night, seeking some clue to their intertwined fat…

With the present moment fraying at the edges, Nadia’s buried past resurfaces with unsettling force, and Alan grows increasingly anxious that their opportunity is slipping away.

Nadia scanned the crowded space, her gaze searching until it landed on Alan across the deli. A subtle unease settled between them, a sense that something was amiss. Yet, despite the unspoken tension, neither of them relinquished their hope …
