Synopsis

A runner stumbled, his body a sudden, jarring intrusion into Haiji's path. He managed to avoid a collision, but the force of the near-miss shifted his weight onto his right leg. The fall sparked a ripple of disruption at the water station. Cold rain lashed down on the runners and spectators alike, a relentless downpour. Soon, the course led into the city streets, and the runners’ struggle for endurance intensified.
