Synopsis

The war had ended, yet former slaves still lived in fear of night riders. By recognizing the distinctive markings on their horseshoes, Tom uncovered the identities of these raiders, a discovery that put his own life at risk. Chicken George, who had served with the Union army, returned to his family. He then guided them westward, leading them to a fresh start and a new home in Tennessee.
