Synopsis

After the naval defeat at Actium, Mark Antony sought refuge in Egypt, where he and Cleopatra embraced a life of lavish excess. Octavian attempted to exploit Pullo, hoping to use him as a means of gaining entry to the royal palace, but Vorenus remained steadfast in his loyalty to Antony. Ultimately, it was Cleopatra who deceived Antony, securing her survival by sacrificing her reputation. Caesar Augustus achieved victory in Rome.
