Synopsis

Following Pompey's flight into Egypt, Caesar reached Alexandria and encountered Ptolemy XIII, the young ruler. The boy king presented the general with an unexpected gift. Once again, Vorenus and Pullo found themselves acting as liberators, freeing Ptolemy’s sister, Cleopatra, who had been imprisoned. Caesar then demanded recompense from Egypt for debts incurred, ultimately orchestrating a strategic alliance to secure his lasting renown.
