Synopsis

In 1976, a crowded bus plunged into the Amazon River, resulting in the deaths of thirty-nine people. When rescuers recovered the remains, many had been so severely disfigured by piranhas that identification was possible only through their clothing. Seeking out survivors and those who witnessed piranha attacks, Jeremy Wade explores the unsettling reason why these fish haunt our fears.
