Synopsis

A flawless diamond, uncut and gleaming, represents the wealth of the British Empire. This particular stone has surfaced, liberated from the monopoly of De Graal by Daniel Judge, the untrustworthy older brother of Captain Jackson. As Reid and Flight investigate, they become entangled in the story of a local craftsman cheated out of his livelihood. The ensuing scam threatens to reintroduce H Division to the insidious influence of Detective Inspector Jedediah Shine.
