Synopsis

This episode explores methods for capturing clear guitar tones using a combo amplifier, specifically a Vox AC30. I demonstrate techniques employing two microphones, including both direct and spaced configurations. In this demonstration, a Shure SM57 is positioned on one speaker, paired with a Sennheiser MD421 on the other. The SM57 can be effectively combined with either a large or small diaphragm condenser microphone as well.
