It’s remarkable how consistently South Korea produces impressive television shows. Revenant combines elements of gentle horror with a suspenseful mystery. It's similar to, though not quite as refined as, the Japanese horror films in The Ring series. The show features self-contained stories that appear separately, but which contribute to a larger narrative and build toward a satisfying resolution. As is typical for South Korean productions, the performances are outstanding; the characters feel fully realized and have compelling narratives of their own.
