The fourth season marks a significant improvement for Resident Evil; I’d even go so far as to call it possibly the strongest show currently airing. Every member of the ensemble cast contributes something worthwhile – watching any of them is consistently entertaining. The quality of the writing stands out, managing to blend humor, dramatic moments, and science fiction aspects while also including relevant observations about society. It's often telling when people who enjoy science fiction become uncomfortable with the genre reflecting humanity’s positive and negative traits; that has been a defining characteristic of science fiction from its beginnings, and Resident Evil exemplifies this perfectly.
