Synopsis

The detective’s superiors grew increasingly frustrated as he attempted to link a figure from Edinburgh’s underworld to the shooting of two boys and a teacher at a nearby college. The situation became acutely personal when one of the victims proved to be the son of Rebus's cousin, affording Templar an ideal pretext for removing him from the investigation. Yet, the detective remained resolute in his pursuit of a young schoolgirl he believed held the crucial key to unraveling the mystery.
