Synopsis

From Lucerne, a paddle boat carried passage to Vitznau, followed by the ascent of Mount Rigi via cog railway. The journey continued by paddle boat to Flüelen, then transitioned to train, traversing to Göschenen. From there, a steam train climbed over the Furka Pass, and onward by train through Bellinzona to Locarno. Finally, trains carried travelers into the Swiss-Italian hinterland, reaching the border region.
