Synopsis

The journey began in Medemblik, a puff of steam propelling the train towards Hoorn. From there, the Dutch Railways carried onward, traversing the vibrant bulb fields of Noord-Holland to Amsterdam. A change to the "Kennemer beach express" via Lovers Rail took passengers to IJmuiden, then southward through The Hague to Maastricht. Finally, a steam train journeyed through Schin op Geul and along the Miljoenenlijntje to Kerkrade.
