Synopsis

Driven by an almost pathological need for cleanliness, Arthur Penhaligon possessed a peculiar obsession. One day, through a confluence of improbable circumstances, he found himself flung back into the mists of prehistory, determined to impose his rigorous standards of hygiene upon a world utterly lacking in them.
