Synopsis

A thigh bone surfaced during construction of the new student union building. Professor Quincy, lecturing at the university, found himself drawn into an investigation concerning its origins: who did it belong to, how had they died, and perhaps even—a more unsettling question—who was responsible? Predictably, Captain Monaghan and Lieutenant Asten viewed this pursuit as a frivolous distraction, urging Quincy to return to his duties and cease interfering.
