Synopsis

In 1958, Sam finds himself navigating the glittering, yet treacherous, world of the "Miss Deep South" beauty pageant as Darlene Monte. When he witnesses a fellow contestant threatened with ruin by a predatory photographer’s exploitative images, Sam is compelled to intervene. He must protect this innocent woman from disgrace, all while maneuvering to ensure Darlene's placement within the competition – specifically, a third-place finish that will pave the way for her future as a physician.
