Synopsis

The integration of individuals with intellectual disabilities was a nascent idea in 1964. Sam felt compelled to intervene in the life of Jimmy LaMotta, the young man he had unexpectedly come to care for. He resolved to help Jimmy secure employment and earn the respect of his colleagues, determined to prevent his brother from being returned to the institution.
