Ginoza was reassigned, ordered to focus on capturing Makishima after Kasei deemed him unauthorized to investigate the Kasei carrier crash site. The directive was to recapture Makishima, and Kogami was to be removed from the case. Kogami, however, sensed a deeper deception within the order, a hidden truth Kasei was concealing.
