Still grappling with the devastating loss of Stephen, the ARC team welcomes fresh faces: Captain Hilary Becker, a formidable new security leader, and Sarah Page, an enthusiastic Egyptologist brimming with energy. But their efforts to rebuild are disrupted when Helen Cutter emerges, haunted by visions of a future Earth consumed by monstrous Future Predators. Blaming the ARC for this impending doom, she launches a brutal attack, tragically claiming the life of Nick Cutter. In the aftermath, the ARC secures a perplexing artifact from that very future, inadvertently drawing the attention of military liaison Christine Johnson, who now seeks to seize control of the team and weaponize their discovery. With Cutter gone, ex-cop Danny Quinn steps up as the new leader, while Jenny Lewis uncovers a shocking truth about her own past – an alternate identity as Claudia Brown – leading her to depart from the ARC. Adding further chaos, Connor is unexpectedly forced to share Lester’s cramped apartment after Jack Maitland moves in with Abby. As Johnson relentlessly pursues the artifact, Helen resurfaces and eliminates her threat. The team soon discovers Helen's terrifying plan: to erase humanity’s ancestors, preventing their evolution and averting the catastrophic future she witnessed. A desperate chase ensues, sending Danny, Connor, and Abby hurtling through Anomalies in a frantic attempt to stop her.
