Synopsis

Jane Tennison's posting had shifted from London's Metropolitan Police to Manchester, a change that coincided with a fatal shooting. A drug courier, returning to his flat, became the victim of violence, and Tennison soon discovered herself deeply involved in the unfolding investigation.
