Synopsis

The place of art in America has been a subject of discussion, ranging from the halls of Congress to the most commonplace of shopping centers. More than simply a portrait of the socially engaged painter Leon Golub, whose imposing canvases are designed to unsettle those who view them, this film explores the relationship between media and contemporary society, social responsibility and artistic creation, and the interplay of art and information.
