Synopsis

During World War II, artist Estelle Peck Ishigo accompanied her Japanese American husband into an internment camp, a rare instance of a Caucasian person sharing the experience. Through a combination of her own memoirs, photographs, and paintings, Ishigo offers a sharply observant, outsider's view of the devastating event of their forced relocation.
