Synopsis

Within the walls of Japan's Yoshida Brewery, a dedicated community of artisans – men ranging in age from twenty to seventy – immerse themselves in a six-month period of near-solitary focus. They adhere to an ancient ritual, meticulously crafting saké, the national rice wine held in deep reverence throughout the country.
