Synopsis

A sense of foreboding permeates the film as Nanfu Wang, a determined young filmmaker, journeys with the unconventional activist Ye Haiyan—also known as Hooligan Sparrow—and her associates to southern China. Their mission: to seek justice in the disturbing case of six elementary school girls who are accused of sexual abuse by their principal.
