Synopsis

Joshua Oppenheimer journeys to meet those accused of orchestrating the slaughter of over a million Indonesians in 1965. At first, these men justify their deeds as acts of patriotism and necessity. However, as the film progresses, some begin to harbor doubts about their own involvement. A 2013 Academy Award nominee. Winner of the 2014 BAFTA for Best Documentary.
