Synopsis

Beginning in a quiet town in northern Michigan and extending to the mountains of Afghanistan, "Where Soldiers Come From" charts the path of boyhood friends who enlist in the National Guard after graduation. The film documents these young men's evolution—from adolescence to military service and finally to combat veterans at the age of twenty-three. It presents a deeply personal glimpse into the lives of those who wage our wars.
