Synopsis

Shot in Yemen and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, *The Oath* weaves together the narratives of Abu Jandal, once a bodyguard to Osama bin Laden, and Salim Hamdan, a prisoner at Guantanamo facing charges of war crimes. Directed by Laura Poitras, whose previous works include *Flag Wars*, *POV* (2003), and the Oscar®-nominated *My Country, My Country* (2006), the film unfolds as a complex story of reversals and betrayals, ultimately converging on figures like Osama bin Laden, the events of 9/11, Guantanamo, a
