Synopsis

Twelve years ago, Puerto Rican-American rapper Hamza Pérez abandoned a life of drug dealing and street violence to embrace Islam. He has since relocated to Pittsburgh’s challenging North Side with the intention of establishing a new religious community, repairing his fractured family, and sharing his message of faith with young people through powerful hip-hop. However, when the FBI raids his mosque, Hamza is forced to confront the complexities of a world irrevocably altered by the events of 9/11
