Synopsis

In *Arctic Son*, the tension between tradition and progress creates a rift between a Native father and son in the remote village of Old Crow, situated eighty miles above the Arctic Circle. Stanley, Jr., having grown up in Seattle, is increasingly consumed by alcohol and revelry. His father, Stanley Sr., a solitary and deeply thoughtful man, maintains the ancestral ways of the Gwitchin people through hunting, fishing, and resourceful living in the unforgiving Arctic landscape. After years of sepa
