Synopsis

*The Education of Shelby Knox*, a documentary released in 2005, chronicles the adolescence of Shelby Knox, a young woman and passionate advocate for feminist ideals who finds herself immersed in a campaign to bring comprehensive sex education to the high schools of Lubbock, Texas. Selected for the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, the film also premiered on PBS’s *P.O.V.* series that year. It was directed and produced by Marion Lipschutz and Rose Rosenblatt.
