Synopsis

The abortion debates of the 1990s found a focal point in Bedford, New Hampshire. At the heart of these discussions was Dr. Wayne Goldner, an obstetrician and gynecologist who performed abortions. A frequent target of anti-abortion demonstrations, Dr. Goldner was also embroiled in controversy surrounding a hospital merger that threatened access to abortion services and a sex-education course he taught at the town’s middle school.
