Synopsis

Silvia Moroni Heath, a Cuban expatriate and the daughter of a sugar planter, returns to her homeland after a thirty-seven-year absence. Her first destination is the house of her childhood, now occupied by a bank, and she is denied entry by the guard at the gate. The hour unfolds with interspersed family stills and footage of pre-revolutionary Cuba, following Moroni to the Cuban countryside and to the Havana Yacht Club, the site of her debutante ball.
