Synopsis

Released in 2000, the documentary *Well-Founded Fear*, directed by Shari Robertson and Michael Camerini, draws its title from the precise legal definition of a refugee established in the UN Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees: a person in need of protection due to a well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, membership in a specific social group, or political opinion.
