Synopsis

Demelza relished the city, accompanying Ross to a charity ball hosted by Warleggan to celebrate his wife's impending motherhood. There, she drew the predatory gaze of Adderley, who challenged Ross to a duel. The outcome heightened Warleggan’s resolve to destroy Ross. Overwhelmed, Demelza returned to Cornwall, while Morwenna carried a message for Drake, and Geoffrey made a certain observation.
