Responding to strange magnetic disturbances emanating from Wela Volcano, the Ultra Guardians arrived to find a gathering of Alolan Geodude and Alolan Graveler feasting upon Spark Stones. However, they soon discovered that a band of rock hunters sought the stones for their own purposes. As the Ultra Guardians prepared to intervene, an enraged Alolan Golem erupted from the earth, scattering the hunters.
